About the Role:

In Risk Engineering team we build systems that prevent financial crime on Remitly platforms, these systems monitor customer actions, apply business rules to detect malicious activity and allow customers to verify their identity or ownership of their payment profiles. Most of our customers go through Remitly experiences without any friction, and one of the biggest challenges we're trying to solve is to decrease number of times where they have to verify information.

You Will:

  • You'll work directly with product managers, analysts and designers to improve customer experience and mitigate risk
  • You'll develop flexible systems that can be optimized for different regions and customers around the globe
  • You'll develop APIs and work on react based mobile app experiences that help prevent financial crime
  • You'll instrument, operate and maintain production systems serving millions of customers

You Have:

  • A BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years as a full stack software engineer
  • Proficiency with one or more general purpose programming languages like Go, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Kotlin, C# or Ruby
  • Willingness to explore new technologies, frameworks and systems
