About the Role:

We're searching for a Technical Program Manager to join Remitly's Site Reliability Engineering team, reporting to our Director, Developer Platform Engineering. This new role will be instrumental in establishing our Site Reliability program and driving continuous improvement in this space. With data being at the forefront of the program, you will identify, instrument the collection of, and develop reports around the key data points for site reliability, incidents and corrective actions. Utilizing this data, this person will identify strategic improvements and lead efforts across engineering teams to implement them. You'll accomplish this by partnering with executive leadership, managers, and engineers to prioritize, roadmap and execute on reliability initiatives and OKRs at the company and team level.

You Will:

  • Build and continuously improve our Site Reliability program
  • Develop frameworks, process and tooling for service degradation and corrective actions
  • Manage communications and program tracking across Remitly, helping teams to identify, instrument, and track SLIs and SLOs
  • Provide regular updates on key metrics (ex. Availability, SL*'s, Incidents)
  • Plan and orchestrate game day and similar company-wide reliability exercises
  • Drive measurable improvement in reliability across the company through collaboration with our worldwide engineering teams

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Incident Management, Problem Management
  • Strong alignment to our mission and values

  • Proven analytical and data-driven approach

  • Outside-in perspective to incorporate industry best practices into existing culture
