About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Video Editor Intern to join our busy Marketing Creative team. As a Video Editor Intern, you will support the editor in telling our story in a compelling, fresh, relevant way to audiences from many different countries and cultures. You will bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work. There are opportunities to gain exposure to many facets of digital publishing in a high-growth tech company.
You Will:

Resize video content into 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 aspect ratios

Edit video in a templatized environment, swapping footage and updating motion graphics where necessary

Animate text in templatized videos

Help organize footage
-
Work with video editor, producers, and project managers to identify editing needs.

Be a positive, joyful influence within Marketing and Remitly as a whole
You Have:

Experience editing in Premiere and After Effects

Motion graphics experience
-
Familiarity with or openness to learning video file compression standards

Experience with Figma or Adobe Suite

A degree, or working on a degree, in video editing, graduating in 2023 or 2024

Experience with people, communication, marketing, and storytelling

A sensitivity and desire to understand multiple cultures and trends

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Will work in Pacific Standard Time (Seattle) normal working hours

Understanding of our mission and values

Language skills (especially Spanish) are a plus, but not required
