About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starting Video Editor Intern to join our busy Marketing Creative team. As a Video Editor Intern, you will support the editor in telling our story in a compelling, fresh, relevant way to audiences from many different countries and cultures. You will bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work. There are opportunities to gain exposure to many facets of digital publishing in a high-growth tech company.

You Will:

  • Resize video content into 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 aspect ratios 

  • Edit video in a templatized environment, swapping footage and updating motion graphics where necessary

  • Animate text in templatized videos

  • Help organize footage

  • Work with video editor, producers, and project managers to identify editing needs. 

  • Be a positive, joyful influence within Marketing and Remitly as a whole

You Have:

  • Experience editing in Premiere and After Effects

  • Motion graphics experience

  • Familiarity with or openness to learning video file compression standards 

  • Experience with Figma or Adobe Suite

  • A degree, or working on a degree, in video editing, graduating in 2023 or 2024

  • Experience with people, communication, marketing, and storytelling

  • A sensitivity and desire to understand multiple cultures and trends

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Will work in Pacific Standard Time (Seattle) normal working hours

  • Understanding of our mission and values

  • Language skills (especially Spanish) are a plus, but not required
