RegTech Program Manager
Managua, Nicaragua
Category: Program Management
Job ID: R_105718
Job Type: Regular
Job Description:
At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we’ve tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.
About the Role:
At Remitly, regulatory integrity is a cornerstone of how we earn and maintain the trust of every customer who depends on us. The tGRC RegTech team sits at the intersection of technology, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring that regulatory obligations are translated into scalable, traceable, and audit-ready execution.
This is an L2 individual contributor role that requires the ability to work autonomously across complex, multi-stakeholder programs, owning the operational heartbeat of our technology regulatory programs. You will coordinate across audit, licensing, remediation, and regulatory change initiatives to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. You bring regulatory domain knowledge, operational rigor, and the credibility to represent the team in formal compliance and audit settings. You also embrace AI co-working tools to increase your analytical capacity and the quality of your outputs.
You operate within the RegTech function, which encompasses Licensing & Global Expansion, Control Redesign, and Audit domains, acting as the connective tissue that keeps programs on track, stakeholders informed, and evidence organized. If you thrive on building order from complexity, excel at holding cross-functional partners accountable without direct authority, and take pride in delivering programs that hold up to regulatory scrutiny, this role is built for you.
You will
-
Own day-to-day management of the centralized portal for all technology regulatory program intake, covering Tech Audit, Licensing & Expansion, Remediation, and Regulatory Change workstreams.
-
Validate, categorize, and route all incoming requests to the appropriate program owners, escalating incomplete or high-risk items to the Technology Regulatory Compliance Lead as needed.
-
Maintain intake workflows, templates, and required field standards to drive consistent, high-quality submissions.
-
Track all intake items through their lifecycle stages, ensuring clear status visibility and timely handoffs.
-
Coordinate the execution of technology-related regulatory examinations, independent assessments, attestations, and regulatory filings through centralized tracking.
-
Manage end-to-end audit logistics and audit-readiness artifacts, including evidence requests, document tracking, stakeholder coordination, and milestone oversight, ensuring continuous compliance readiness.
-
Prepare and track process documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and readiness for executive sign-off.
-
Coordinate end-to-end technology support for licensing and market expansion initiatives via the centralized portal, including regulatory and technical scoping, requirements documentation, dependency and resource tracking, post-licensing commitments, and standardized templates and trackers to enable scalable execution across markets.
-
Own the full lifecycle of intake, remediation, and regulatory change initiatives impacting platforms, converting plans into actionable trackers with defined milestones, owners, and dependencies, while monitoring progress, escalating risks, and ensuring accurate, consistent status reporting in centralized systems.
-
Support documentation of regulatory requirements, corresponding technology tasks, and control updates in a structured, traceable format.
-
Coordinate implementation updates with Engineering, Security, Compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
-
Maintain documentation that demonstrates clear traceability from regulatory requirements to implementation actions.
-
Support the embedding of regulatory changes into existing operational and control frameworks to drive lasting compliance.
You Have
-
2+ years of verifiable experience in program management, team coordination, or a directly equivalent role.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional work: coordinating dependencies, mitigating risks, and influencing teams without direct authority.
-
Working knowledge of national and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NYDFS, PCI, financial licensing regulations) would be a plus; you understand why compliance matters, not just what it requires.
-
Proficiency with program management and workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent service management platforms.
-
Data fluency: you can build and interpret reports using spreadsheets or reporting tools, apply basic aggregations and pivots, and use data to flag risk and drive decisions.
-
Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory or technical concepts for non-specialist audiences.
-
High organizational acumen and attention to detail, you catch what others miss and build systems that ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
-
Proficiency with AI co-working tools (Claude, ChatGPT, NotebookLM) for regulatory research, document drafting, and gap analysis.
-
Fluency in English, written and spoken.
