About the Role:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Engineering, the Software Engineer will develop technical features end-to-end through design, coding, launch, and long-term support. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.
You Will:

Build, own, and operate services at the core of Remitly's tech stack.

Help build the next generation systems that process every remittance Remitly sends.

Partner with product managers and engineers across teams to help achieve product and business goals.
You Have:
-
Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field and 2 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation.

2 years of experience with engineering distributed systems;
-
2 years of experience with building, shipping (delivering), and maintaining software;
-
2 years of experience with conducting cross-team collaboration, including with SMEs from digital payments and accounting departments;

2 years of experience with designing and developing key components of payment products, developing accounting features for payment products, and working on features for payment product(s), including features to self-select payment methods;

2 years of experience with AWS services, including CloudFormation, Cloudwatch, DynamoDb, ECS clusters, IAM, Secrets Manager, SNS, SQS, and VPC; and

2 years of experience with Java.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $137,259.00 – $170,000.00 per year. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
