Job Description:

Remitly’s vision is to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders. Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to people who send money around the world. Today, we are reimagining global financial services and building products that extend beyond traditional barriers to give customers access to more of the services they need, no matter where they call home. Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

As Senior Product Manager – Small and Micro Business (SMB) Customer Retention, you will lead the discovery, definition, and delivery of Remitly's retention experience for business senders. This is a 0→1 product scope with limited existing structure—ideal for someone who succeeds in ambiguity and can build and broadcast strategic clarity.

You will understand the moments, motivations, and barriers that create (or hinder) continued engagement and long-term value (LTV) among small and micro business customers. You will define what healthy retention is, uncover the biggest drop-off points in our business customer lifecycle, and build product hypotheses rooted in high-return on investment customer segments. You will report to the VP of Product Management.

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days of work from our Seattle office to foster team collaboration.

You Will:

  • Build a foundational understanding of who our most valuable business customers are, what their needs are post-acquisition, and where, why, and how they drop off
  • Define a retention strategy and explain what success is over time
  • Lead the discovery process to define retention pain points through direct customer research, data exploration, and operational feedback
  • Build, test, and improve on a roadmap of features and programs designed to deepen product adoption, promote customer stickiness, and LTV
  • Directly influence business, technical, and support function teams across Remitly to support and prioritize improving the SMB product in a way that enhances LTV
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Design, Engineering, CS, Risk, and Marketing to deliver high-quality experiences across mobile, web, and internal tooling
  • Improve repeat usage, satisfaction, and long-term value of our business senders
  • This is a strategic product leadership role—not just delivery, but definition. We need someone who, build hypotheses from noise, and advocate for solutions that align with both SMB needs and business goals.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of product management experience building impactful products, including programs that drove customer retention and increased lifetime value.
  • Expertise in analyzing ambiguous data with hands-on experience in product analytics, experimentation tools (e.g. stat sig, Google Analytics), and A/B testing.
  • Experience setting product strategy, road-mapping, and prioritization.
  • Strategic, customer-focused mindset with the ability to turn ambiguous 0→1 ideas into applicable roadmaps while advocating for both user and team goals.
  • Experience improving customer retention and engagement through growth loops and compelling product experiences that drive loyalty and LTV.
  • Strong communication skills for updating internal and external partners on product progress and milestones.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data, and business teams to align partners around a shared vision and data-driven insights.
