Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to people who send money around the world. Today, we are reimagining global financial services and building products that extend beyond traditional barriers to give customers access to more of the services they need, no matter where they call home. Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

Remitly is looking for a Senior Product Designer with both excellent craft and business acumen to drive user and business growth through data-driven experimentation and best-in-class product design.

As a key member to a newly formed, cross-disciplinary Growth team, you'll shape key customer experiences and drive high-impact product outcomes. You'll focus on transforming consumers into returning customers, helping users complete their intended tasks, and amplifying the moments that drive retention among our existing customers. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing to identify growth levers, design compelling experiences, and iterate quickly. You are a hands-on designer with a strong foundation in human-centered design, an analytical mindset, and a proven record of delivering measurable results. You'll be a great fit if you have a high bar for visual design, love to generate and test ideas quickly, can demonstrate understanding of business metrics, and have a track record of both having influence and making impact.

This role reports to a Senior Product Design Manager within the Global Design organization. You will be hybrid (3 days a week) in our Seattle office.

You Will:

  • Lead the end-to-end design of product experiences that are hypothesis-driven and metrics-informed.
  • Design and run experiments that test hypotheses and gain signals for further improvements, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to identify opportunities, evaluate results, and iterate based on insights.
  • Accomplish meaningful outcomes by balancing high-judgement trade-offs between quality, speed, and learning.
  • Collaborate with partners with empathy and clarity, navigating differing perspectives, advocating for the customer, and influencing decisions through strong design rationale and strategic partnership.
  • Bring customer empathy and user insights into every stage of the process, using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Quickly ramp up in unfamiliar product areas by learning from other designers in that space to launch experiments that integrate within existing patterns, while extending and enhancing the broader experience.
  • Advocate for simplicity, usability, and accessibility, leveraging the design system and partnering with its team to evolve it when gaps arise.
  • Design solutions that address immediate needs at the local level, while ensuring they scale across broader systems and markets.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of product design experience
  • A strong portfolio of cohesive, intuitive experiences that demonstrate meaningful customer and business impact on projects you've led from concept to go to market strategies.
  • Expertise in rapid experimentation, A/B testing, and leveraging growth metrics to drive data-informed design decisions.
  • A proven track record of engaging stakeholders with confidence and clarity, effectively explaining design rationale, influencing decisions, and building alignment through strong collaboration and storytelling.
  • Extensive experience working with and contributing to design systems, while designing accessible, inclusive products grounded in current usability and accessibility standards.
  • Strong skills in designing and prototyping complex workflows with Figma.
