About the Role:

The Senior Manager, SOX & Business Process Audit is a critical leadership position within the Internal Audit function. You will oversee risk assessments, audit planning, execution, and the delivery of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, and business process audits and advisory engagements across key enterprise functions—including product, business operations, human resources, finance, accounting, and risk management.

You will engage with senior leaders across the organization, as well as coordination with external auditors and global regulators. The role provides independent assurance and actionable insights aimed at strengthening the company's control environment, business processes, and risk management practices.

The Senior Manager will lead a global business process audit team and assume full responsibility for delivering the global business process audit plan. This role requires a minimum of 3 days a week onsite at our Seattle, WA headquarters and reports to our Director of Internal Audit.

You Will:

  • Lead department-wide strategic initiatives to advance the Internal Audit function's maturity, alignment with enterprise objectives, and overall value delivery.
  • Lead SOX business process testing activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments of key business processes and develop audit plans to address identified risks.
  • Plan and execute business process audits and advisory engagements to evaluate control effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain audit methodologies and procedures to ensure alignment with professional standards, external audit requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with management to develop and monitor corrective action plans in response to audit findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate audit results and recommendations clearly and effectively to executive leadership.
  • Domestic and International travel is required, approx. 5 – 10%.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in audit, with a focus on SOX testing and business process controls.
  • 4+ years of global leadership experience.
  • Professional audit certification, such as CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, etc.
  • Proficiency with audit management software and tools, such as AuditBoard.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $144,000 – $180,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
