About the Role:

We are looking for a Head of International Reporting to lead statutory audits and financial reporting across Remitly's international entities. Reporting to the Director, SEC & External Reporting, you'll manage a team, oversee financial statement preparation and review, and ensure timely filings across multiple jurisdictions. As we expand globally, you'll play a key role in assessing and supporting new reporting requirements, collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams.

You Will:

  • Lead a team managing statutory audits and financial statement preparation across international entities

  • Act as escalation point for complex reporting issues and ensure timely, accurate filings

  • Review all international financials and manage workback schedules for regulatory deadlines

  • Prepare and review finance updates for subsidiary board meetings and attend quarterly sessions

  • Serve as subject matter expert on statutory frameworks and reconciliation to US GAAP

  • Partner with Legal, Tax, Compliance, and external advisors to enhance international reporting processes

  • Support audit readiness, regulatory requests, and internal controls related to international reporting

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with a focus on international reporting

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA, CA, or ACCA strongly preferred

  • Experienced in regulated environments, financial statement review, and audit leadership

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage reporting across multiple geographies

  • Passionate about process improvement and scaling global finance operations

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $150,000 – $162,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
