- Provide risk-based advice to business stakeholders on the design and implementation of consumer protection controls, policies, and customer-facing initiatives.
- Conduct structured second line review and challenge of control design, implementation, and monitoring to ensure regulatory intent is met and consumer risks are appropriately mitigated.
- Assess and document control effectiveness, including clarity of ownership, monitoring approach, and evidence standards.
- Work with stakeholders on market expansion initiatives, product changes, and regulatory developments, regulatory change implementation, consumer protection education content, advising and partnering on consumer protection impacts and appropriate risk mitigation.
- Contribute to oversight of scam prevention and broader consumer harm initiatives, including regulatory tracking and review of control effectiveness.
- Provide structured status updates, escalate risks where appropriate, and represent Consumer Protection in relevant cross-functional forums.
You Have:
- 5+ years' experience in financial services compliance, legal, or regulatory roles with exposure to consumer protection regulation.
- Ability to interpret regulation and translate it into practical, actionable advice and oversight expectations.
- Experience reviewing, advising on, or assessing compliance controls in cross-functional environments.
- Experience with payments regulation (e.g. US Reg E and UDAAP, UK Consumer Duty, or equivalent conduct frameworks).
- Exposure to fraud or scam-related controls (advantageous but not required).
- Experience supporting product launches or geographic expansion in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL).
