About the Role:
The Site Business Partner, Employee Experience is a key role within the Manila site, reporting to the Site Director. This person serves as a culture champion and operational partner — designing and delivering end-to-end programs in employee engagement, events, social impact, and culture-building that reflect Remitly’s mission and values. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as stakeholders include senior leaders across the site and global functions.
You Will:
Culture Building
- Develop, champion, and implement strategic initiatives that promote a strong, inclusive, and values-driven company culture.
- Collaborate with site and global leadership to ensure Remitly’s cultural values are consistently integrated across all departments and levels.
- Act as a culture ambassador — facilitating meetings, conversations, and experiences that reinforce the company’s mission, vision, and values.
- Lead programs that recognize and celebrate employee contributions to upholding company culture.
- Collect feedback and analyze data related to cultural health, using insights to drive continuous improvements.
Events & Employee Engagement
- Own the end-to-end design, planning, and execution of engaging activities, events, and programs that foster team spirit, boost morale, and build belonging.
- Partner with internal teams (HR, Operations, and others) to identify engagement needs and design tailored initiatives for various employee groups.
- Manage all logistics, budgets, and execution across engagement events, including:
- Team-building activities and company celebrations
- Wellness programs
- Leadership development and recognition initiatives
- Evaluate program impact through surveys, feedback, and participation metrics, using data to continuously improve.
- Execute on engagement, retention, and career development tactics in close coordination with Learning & Development, HR, and Recruiting.
Social Impact
- Lead the development and execution of the Manila site’s social impact strategy, aligned with Remitly’s core values and community needs.
- Partner with the Global Impact team in Seattle to align local initiatives with global strategies, including areas such as financial access, customer protection, and climate resilience.
- Collaborate with the Global Impact Team on philanthropy programs, including the Remitly Foundation and global giving moments such as Kiva.
- Identify and manage partnerships with local organizations and non-profits to create meaningful community outreach programs.
- Organize and oversee employee volunteer programs, donation drives, and other community involvement initiatives.
- Measure, report, and communicate outcomes of social impact initiatives internally and through appropriate external channels.
- Advocate for sustainability and social responsibility in company policies and practices; partner with Facilities on sustainability programs.
- Contribute content to the company’s annual global impact report.
Site Director Partnership & Leadership Support
- Provide high-level support to the Site Director, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documents for internal and external meetings in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Site Director’s office, managing communications and ensuring timely follow-through.
- Assist in organizing executive leadership meetings, including agenda creation and meeting documentation.
- Manage special projects and initiatives assigned by the Site Director, ensuring timely completion and strategic alignment.
- Actively nurture communication and feedback loops within the team to leverage insights and continuously improve programs.
- Model and promote Remitly’s core values in all interactions and initiatives.

Ability to think strategically and align programs to broader organizational goals. Proven experience managing complex, end-to-end projects — from events and engagement programs to social impact initiatives — while balancing day-to-day responsibilities.
