Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Nice to Have:

SNPL Card's growth today comes almost entirely through owned channels, and the person who unlocks it needs to think and build like a product manager. The mandate is broader than converting our existing base: as we start exploring net-new customer acquisition strategies alongside conversion of existing Remitly customers, this role owns the full front door of SNPL Card — who we bring in, how we introduce them to the product, and how we get them successfully onboarded. As we look into net-new customers, this role will also need to develop and own channel strategy and the unit economics behind it, not just the in-product experience. You'll also work on post-onboarding experience, so the handoff from onboarding into ongoing engagement, retention, and repayment is seamless rather than siloed.
This is a critical product management role on a small, high-ownership team: parts of this business are 0 to 1 and parts are 10 to 100, and you'll need to be comfortable in both — running discovery and defining strategy, writing the specs, working with engineering and design through build and launch, and owning the metrics that tell you whether it's working.

You Will:

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for bringing customers — existing Remitly customers and, as we expand, net-new customers — into SNPL Card, from awareness through onboarding and into early activation.

  • Run discovery and define requirements — talk to customers directly, synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, and translate findings into clear specs that engineering and design can build against.

  • Own the full product lifecycle for your surfaces — problem definition, design collaboration, development, QA, launch, and post-launch iteration.

  • Decide who to bring in and how — building segmentation and targeting models across existing customers and, over time, net-new acquisition channels — and prioritizing where the team invests.

  • Develop and own channel strategy and unit economics as we expand into net-new acquisition — deciding which channels to test, how to measure them, and what the underlying unit economics need to look like to justify the spend.

  • Design and ship the in-product moments that introduce SNPL Card — content cards, banners, modals, push/SMS/email nudges, and contextual placements — partnering directly with Design and Engineering to spec and ship them.

  • Write the copy and positioning customers see, and know when to bring in a copywriter or brand partner as this scales.

  • Partner with the incoming Principal PM for Borrow on the post-onboarding experience — ensuring what you build for onboarding sets customers up for engagement, retention, and repayment, and that the two roadmaps stay connected rather than siloed.

  • Run the experimentation engine — define hypotheses, design tests, read results honestly, and let data decide what ships next.

  • Define success metrics and instrumentation from day one — conversion, activation, CAC, unit economics, and cohort quality — and build the analytics to track them.

  • Work in an AI-first way — using AI to accelerate research, spec writing, segmentation, and content production.

  • Operate across functions — Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Legal — to ship in a regulated lending environment without losing speed.

  • Communicate roadmap, trade-offs, and results clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management, Growth PM, or Product Marketing in a data-driven consumer (B2C) environment, with demonstrated ownership of a roadmap or specs from discovery through launch.

  • Experience running product discovery — user research, requirements definition, and writing specs/PRDs that engineering and design can execute against.

  • Experience driving adoption or conversion through in-product experiences — onboarding flows, lifecycle messaging, content cards, or similar.

  • Comfort owning segmentation and targeting logic, ideally across both an existing customer base and net-new acquisition channels.

  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable defining and reading funnel metrics and unit economics, running experiments, and using data over opinion.

  • Excellent writing skills — in-product copy that's clear and compelling without sounding like an ad.

  • Working knowledge of UI/UX and mobile in-app experience, and the ability to work as a true peer to Design and Engineering across the full build cycle, not just at the requirements stage.

  • A scrappy, resourceful operating style — comfortable in both 0-to-1 and 10-to-100 environments, and used to wearing multiple hats on a small team.

  • Fluency with AI-first tools and workflows, with an instinct to reach for them first.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional and senior stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech, lending, credit, or payments.

  • Experience owning both acquisition and onboarding/activation for a consumer product, not just one side of the funnel.

  • Experience working in a regulated financial services environment alongside Risk, Compliance, and Legal.

  • Experience at a high-growth startup or a consumer technology company known for customer centricity and speed.
